For External Applications
A Typical Parapet Detail illustrates the structure and support of a parapet wall, commonly cantilevered from the main building structure. This detail focuses on connections that ensure stability and durability, including reinforcement and weatherproofing layers to protect against the elements. Cantilevered parapets require careful attention to load distribution and deflection control, as they extend outward without external bracing, creating a clean, streamlined edge on the building façade.
KOROK® 78mm galv panels are rollformed from zinc coated steel strips. The steel from which the shells are manufactured conforms to AS/NZS1397:2001. Steel shells have a base metal thickness of 0.4mm B.M.T. with a Z275 zinc coating. These panels have an aerated concrete core and weigh nominally 10.2kg per lineal metre.

Intertenancy Terraced Housing Systems – Fire and Acoustic Rated Protection
In modern terraced housing and townhouses, traditional framed wall systems depend on internal linings to provide fire resistance. Any penetration through these linings can compromise the fire-rated barrier, increasing the risk of fire spread. The KOROK® Intertenancy System offers a superior solution, where the primary fire barrier is located between the structural frames, protecting the building on the side opposite to the fire.
How KOROK® Intertenancy Systems Work
The KOROK® Intertenancy System utilizes aluminium brackets to attach the KOROK® fire-rated panels to both frames. In the event of a fire, the brackets on the fire-exposed side melt, allowing the structure on the fire side to detach safely. This innovative design ensures that the KOROK® panels remain securely supported by the brackets connected to the non-fire side, providing continued fire protection and maintaining the integrity of the structure.
Acoustic and Fire-Rated Solutions for Terraced Housing
